How to style overall skirt

Denim overalls have been back in the fashion for couple years, however they are not the easiest piece to style.

Here I worn my denim overall skirt from Zara with my offshoulder crop top also from Zara paired with chunky golden necklace to add some weight to the outfit.

Overalls tend to make you look out of shape, but pairing with fitted crop top will certainly put your slim waist line on show, to add some character into this outfit, you can either add some chunky piece of jewellery or a handbag with loud colours/patterns.

If you are living in a colder place, you can simply throw on a distressed denim jacket or even army print jacket to add layback element.

Tell me how you would style overalls,  I would love to see your ideas.

How to style Off Shoulder Top

Off Shoulder Tops are big this summer, after so many celebrities rocked them on the streets, we are all so triggered to give it a shot.

Here I want share how I styled the top today.

The simple white cropped off shoulder top is from boohoo.com, it's affordable and so easy to dress up and down.

I paired it with high waisted denim shorts from Wrangler (High Cheek collection) and one dainty layered necklace to add some weight to this whole outfit without getting to much unnecessary colour to this clean simple top.

Since it is a beautiful summer day we have in Sydney today, I also throw on a big hat to add the relaxing feeling into the outfit. I carry this Givenchy clutch as an edgy element.

The simple yet sparkly slippers add some glamours in the most delicate way.

Drop me a line on how you would style an off shoulder top, I would love to see your ideas.

My Michael Kors Bag Collection and Mini Review

I got some free time on hand today and would love to share my Michael Kors Handbag collection and a mini Review on each of them. Please note this is not a bragging blog and if this in any way offences you, please click out and I just want to share my experience with these bags with fellow Michael Kors bags lovers.

Michael Michael Kors are one of my favorite handbag brands to purchase, they are moderate priced and have so many styles and colours coming out all the time. There are so many classic styles from Michael Kors and surely there will be one suits your style.

From left: Michael Kors Mini Selma Messenger, Michael Kors Alexis Medium Satchel, Michael Koras Dillon Small Satchel, Michael Kors Riley Small Satchel and Michael Kors Medium Travel Tote the one in the front is Michael Kors Halmiton Large Messenger.

The Michael Kors Messenger bag has to be one of the most iconic styles from Michael Kors. I loved this black and white pattern since I saw the picture on Michael Kors official instagram, it's so easily match up with any outfit and for this size, it fits an Iphone 6 plus, some loose makeup stuff, tissue, keys and to save space, there are 3 card pockets at the back of the bag which save your bring a separate wallet/card holder. The only issue i have with it is the opens on both sides, if I have loose lipsticks in the bag and they easily fall out from the open when the bag is tilted.

Michael Kors Alexis Satchel, I love this mabel ish blue colour and the the leather oh, it's so soft. There are 3 compartments with zippers in the middle which is good for people like me to lose all sorts of things in the bag to sort stuff out and separate them easily. It comes with top handles and an adjustable strap, definitely good for carrying to work.

Michael Kors Dillon Satchel, can we just sit here in silent in a moment for this beeeeaaauuutiful pale blue colour and the simple yet elegant shape. It's made of saffiano leather so it is stiff as the messenger. It's big enough to fit a full size wallet, my keys, iphone 6 plus and a small makeup bag. I love to carry this with the strap on my shoulder. It looks a little small to carry on the forearm but a little bit for a weekend crossbody bag.

Michael Kors Riley Small Satchel, this is relatively new in the MK family, the leather OMG, is even softer than the Alexis. It also fits my daily stuff and the colour is so good to carry all year round.

Michael Kors Travel Tote, this is my first MK bag. I carried to death, to the air plane, going on a trip, stuffed it up with bagful of heavy things.. It still holds in shape. People say its a cheaper option for LV neverfull. I also own a LV neverfull - please check my earlier post for comparison, and I can say yes, if you are not sure if you want to splurge so much on Neverfull, definitely give this babe a go, there are so many colours out there and 3 sizes I believe for you to pick. I had one big one before but sold it, I would definitely suggest a medium size if you are not carrying 10kg stuff around everyday, a medium size is more than enough. It fits my apple air laptop without an issue.

Michael Kors Large Messenger, this has to be a least loved MK bag and I am currently selling it. I purchased it for the bright yellow colour and yes and colour is beautiful but there is no top handle and the bag needs to be carried crossbody. i am not a tall person, 163cm, when I carried it on my shoulder it looks big and sliding off. If you are a taller person and prefer carrying bags crossbody to free out your hands, yes, I would definitely suggest this bag, its spacious and there is a back pocket for you to store things like phones, tickets for easy access.

I have also placed an order for a medium size MK messenger which is on it's way. I think I mixed it with the top handle satchel when I purchased it so after I get it, I might go back and get the top handle one as well. If you would like to see a comparison, please let me know.

Hope this blog helps you with some of the MK bags and if you have any questions about these bags, please leave a comment and I will get back to you.

Marc by Marc Jacobs bag First Impression

Updated What's in my bag

We came back from a trip from Vietnam and Hong Kong yesterday, a lot of unpacking ahead of me but I just cannot wait to share this cute new bag I purchased in Hong Kong with you.

The brand is Samantha Thavasa, which is a Japanese handbag company has 7 brands under the main brand Samantha Thavasa. They recently invited Miranda Kerr to become their ambassador to promote their brand.

http://www.samantha.co.jp/

Unfortunately we don't have their retail shops here in Australia so I am still searching a way to get it online with reasonable shipping costs. I will update you my finds later.

The bag I purchased is from one of their brand Samantha and Choulette, every of their bags have it's own little medal tag states the brand, model number and name. This bag original price is HKD 870 and luckly I got it off 30% off sale. HKD to AUD exchange rate is around 1 AUD = 5HKD, so the price is quite reasonable and there are lot and lot of options and colours to choose from. I have also purchased one of their star charms costed at HKD200, which is so pretty and sparkly to add to the cute bag.

The Shaun the Sheep was also purchased from HK, at HKD79 from Nici retail shop.

As usual, I have my red Oroton makeup pouch, my Fendi wallet and Keyholder, a pen, my Opal card holdere, Extra gum (purchased in HK, the honeysuckle flavor tastes so good), my earphone, tissue and YSL ID/card holder in my bag.

The bag might look small but it certainly holds a lot of stuff. After put all these stuff in it, I can still fit my sunnies case or a foldup umbrella.

Your comprehensive travel guide to Hanoi, Vietnam

We have been in Hanoi Vietnam Jan 2014 for 5 days and decided to stay a little longer again this year to discover a little more about this tourist hotspot. We are staying in Hanoi 10 days in Sep 2015, I am in fact writing this on our 6th day in Hanoi.

Hanoi is capital city in Vietnam, while there are lots of tourist sites and cultural places to visit, you can also learn more about it through a more relaxed style by just walking down the streets, going to different local places and restaurants etc.

If you are someone do a lot of research like us on Tripadviser before going out for food, drink, tourist sites, please keep on reading.

Tourist Site:
- Hoan Kiem Lake - Located in the centre of Hanoi Old Quarter, it's one of the famous sites in Hanoi. The lake itself is not big, it will take you around 1 hour to walk around it.  There are some French Style Historical buildings around this lake. All the old style street market streets are also in the surrounding area. We stayed in Hoan Kiem District this time, 2 mins walking to the lake. I have to say you can find anything and everything you need around here, from street food, night markets (happens on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights), restaurants to fancier bars.
- Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum - Vietnamese people surely know how to show their respect to their leader. This reminds me of Beijing Tiananmen Square but in a much smaller scale. The flags are everywhere and there are strict dress code to enter the building.
- Hai Long Bay - It's about 160km away from Hanoi centre, the view is unique and beautiful. While the 3-4 hours driving might not be the best experience we had, in fact, it's quite scary for us, but this place is definitely worth seeing. We visited Hai Long bay last time we came (Jan 2014) the weather was perfect, we had a private junk boat and did a day tour with fresh seafood lunch included in the deal. By private junk boat, the boat can easily fit 20 people with some separate bed rooms and 2 levels of deck. The boat went around the bay and we had the most amazing views, we also stopped over few caves. If you ask me if we would return, I probably would say no but if you ask us if we regret of going, definitely NO and I recommend anyone who has not been to pay it a visit. Not sure if it worth a overnight staying in the junk, but day trip, big yes!

Restaurant:

As for restaurants, I think i will list all we have been and the listed rating on Tripadviser to give you our opinions:

- The Gourmet Corner - rate #7 on TA.
I still do not understand the hype of this place, there were lot of people when we went, we had to sit on the terence for good 30 mins to get our table. View was good, but there are lot of places in Hanoi have the similar type of view with out the pricetag of overated food.
We ordered steak and it was bad, chewy and lack of flavour, both of us left more than half of the food and left. Let me be fair, if the place is a cheap eat, I might not complain much, but when you are paying a certain amount of money on food, it needs to be good.

- Purple Cherry rate #11 on TA
This place is a jem, we had two dinners in a row at this place and still wanted to come back. Every single dish we tried turned out to be yummy and the waiters understand English perfectly with an outstanding skill of making cocktails. It is a roof top restaurant, come in a cooler season might be a better option since you can be fully relaxed and enjoy the Hanoi view.
It is on the top list of places to visit this time, but when we arrived at this place, the whole building was under renovation through Sep, we left so disappointed for missing out the foodfiest.

- Cao Go Vietnamese restaurant rate # 36 on TA
If you come to Hoan Kiem lake, you will not miss this building at the big intersection with multiple levels full of bars, cafes and restaurants. This one is on top level of the building, you can enjoy the beautiful lake view with some Vietnamese food. Price is not cheap, you are looking at 150K VND plus for a main dish, 120VND for a cocktail. The serve is quite small and you will need at least 3 dishes for 2 people.

-  Maison Sen rated # 73 on TA
I wonder why this is not top 10?! This buffet restaurant serves excellent Vietnamese and International food with lot lot of choices and plenty of seafood. We only paid 500K VND for 2 of us and we ordered 2 bottles of beer extra. During the meal, there are people coming around to serve your seafood - I am talking about fresh steamed crabs and prawns and some Brazillian BBQ style meat on the sticks, grilled pineapples. You will not run out of choices doesn't matter what you'd like to eat.   The only downside is - this is a family restaurant, there are so many screaming kids running around, and shouting. If you are looking for a romantic dining option, this might not be it.

Michael Kors Hamilton Large Messenger Review

The Michael Kors Hamilton Large Messenger came in the mail today I am super excited to share some of my thoughts with you.

I ordered it in the yellow colour, its a perfect colour all year round.

The bag is a cross body bag with adjustable strap. I have been holding bags on my arms for months, and cannot wait for a change to shift the weight on my shoulder for a change.

Inside of the bag is very simple, after you open the flap, there is a key strap which I usually use for my wallet, I don't really like my keys to be handing around with other stuff in the bag, it will scratch my phone, wallet for sure.

There is a slide pocket at back of the bag, which I can put my train tickets and tissue paper.

The bag is in this perfect size, enough to hold my daily stuff but not too big so I don't have the urge to chuck everything in it.

As all the other Michael Kors bag, it's in saffiano leather which is a very durable leather the only thing I don't like about it is a little stiff.

I believe it will go with any outfit, to go with some formal office attire and bring in a little colour or a weekend casual outfit for some cute touch.
