What I got from Zara this week

I visited Zara twice this week and picked up few new arrivals. Zara is still trying to clearing out their sales items and been moving them around the shop to leave space for new items and whole store is messy these couple weeks, I am having trouble finding the things I wanted. The thing I saw yesterday would be moved to different level the day after and nowhere to be seen.

Anyway below white and grey T shirt AUD 25.95 each. They are really really soft fabric, lose fitted T shirt can easily pair with skinny jeans or boyfriend jeans to create layback style.
Jeans AUD 69.95, I purchased this pair in US Size 4 AU Size 8. I also tried on US Size 2 AU Size 6, there is no problem putting them on but I just found these size 4(8) in a looser fitting look more flattering on me. Since they have couple rips, a slight loose fitting makes the style more relax. I can totally wear one of these T shirt with the jeans and cannot wait for casual Friday to wear them out.

What I exchanged at Zara

As I mentioned in last post, I took the black pants back to store and exchanged to below,

Pink Sweater AUD 39.95, Green T Shirt AUD 19.95. I really like the candy colours of these 2 tops, they are the new arrivals and looks very similar besides the length of the sleeves and fabric. They are both are loose fitted and kind of belong to the crop top series as they are definitely not long.

They will be good to go with jeans or even floral pants in spring/summer.

What I got from Myer and Priceline

This is a mini haul for something I purchased from Myer and Priceline last week.

From left to right: Sally Hansen Satin nail polish AUD 4.97, Revlon Nail polish AUD 4.97, handcream from Myer AUD 19.95 each (30% off in store), Essense nail polishes (dark romance collection) AUD 3.95 each.

Priceline is having half price on Sally Hansen nail polish and this collection Revlon Gel nail polish, so I think 5 dollars for these polishes are good buys. I was in Myer to find some birthday gift for friend and came across with these hand cream, they both smell amazing and the scent linger on the hands for a very long time. I wouldn't say they are the richest hand cream I tried but they are ok, a bit pricy for what they are, but I guess I paid for the scent.

The new essense Dark Romance came in store recently, I believe there are 2 eye shadow quads, 4 nail polishes, 2 shades of lipsticks, some nail stickers and bronzer. The eye shadows don't seems special to me so I didn't get them. There are 4 different finishes nail polishes in 4 shades. So far I tried the gold colour which is sand finish and the grey colour which is satin finish.  I have to say the gold colour polish looks amazing on the nail and the finish is perfect, I am extremely happy for what I paid for. The grey colour is suppose to be satin finish but I don't see too much of a different so put on a top coat and treated as normal polish. The colour is rich and spot on. The maroon colour is a matte finish, I am not really into matte finish polishes so haven't convinced to use it as yet.

What I bought from Zara this week

Since Zara started their sale few weeks ago, there have been many new arrivals in store so I kind of slowed down with the shopping. Today I popped in store again and noticed there are some new items came in, so decided it's time to pick up some new things.
Meau T Shirt - AUD 39.95, Black pants on discount AUD 39.96, Guau T shirt - AUD 19.95
The reason of there is a price difference between 2 T shirt is the fabric, the Meau T shirt is thicker and in sweater texture while the Guau one is just cotton T shirt.

I didn't try on the black pants in store and thought they would be ok, but they don't look good on my figure after I tried at home so I will take them back to store to exchange to something else.

There is not much to say about how to pair the T Shirts, they will pretty much go with anything as the simple colour and design. I love how they have the cat and dog ears prints. It will be even better if they have rabbit ears.

What I bought from Zara this week

I was sick in the past few days so didn't go out for shopping or post instagram pictures. I was better today and got back to work so popped in Zara at lunch time to check out their new arrivals. Zara sales are still on, most of the sales items have ran out my size and there was no new sales styles added. I found some new arrival items on the shelf today and picked up below items:

From left: Zebra print shirt AUD 59.95, Middle: Denim jacket AUD 79.95, right: long leopard print shirt AUD 69.96.

I like Zara shirts, there are most lose fitted, relax and stylish. The fabric is very comfortable for wearing and they can pair with jeans or pants for casual and office attire. You can total dress up or dress down the shirts.

I was looking for a nice denim jacket for layering, this one is simple and very well fitted. The light wash can easily go with light or darker washed the denim jeans for a layback denim on denim look. I can't wait to layer it on the weekend.

The gym pants are from Cotton On body, I purchased them few weeks ago during EOFY sales, I believe they are both AUD 10 each. The one on the right have a nice black pattern.  the left is size S and right is XS. I don't like running in full length pants but they are very good for yoga or pilates.

What I got this week, Zara, Clarins Skincare and more

Since I bought few more items last week from Zara sale, I didn't need to get anything this week, however I will still share few things I got in the past weeks.

2 x gym/yoga pants. I have been getting some more gym clothes lately since the EOFY sales. These are from Cotton On Body. I think Cotton On has been doing the similar style as Lulu Lemon, even the little logo is quite alike. However, for 1/4 of Lulu Lemon's price, I actually am quite happy they have released the workout line. Below full length pants and 3/4 length both were AUD 10 after discount. I believe they are the newer season style.

There is a story to tell about this Zara overall jeans, I first time saw them was couple weeks ago, I tried the size S (this particular style has only 2 sizes, S and M), the small size fitted nicely. However, since the overall is an oldschool style which is harder to put up a nice outfit with, I passed then even they did look quite flattering on. Since Zara have sales for most of the items, and I thought it's now the time to purchase the jeans but since them I have had trouble to have this style in couple different stores. I asked assistants and they couldn't see any in the system either, I was quite disappointed and other overall in store look pretty bad on me.. Without any hope, I walked in the same store I went yesterday, this pair in size M was there, on the rack, along with all the other jeans. I was over excited and went to ask the assistant again to see if they happen to a S but sadly there is no S. Since the pair is skinny fitting which is why I like it, the size M looks still ok for me so I didn't pass this chance and picked them up today. They were AUD 65.95 after discount and the original price was $89.95.

I am still searching for inspirations to put out a nice outfit with this pair, I am thinking either just a simple white or black T to create the clean layback feel or a colourful T to have a playful look. Please follow me on Instagram donnabunnyqueen for updates.

I ran out of eye cream so needed to get a new one today. The old one was a Korea brand which I enjoyed as I use different cream in the morning and night, I love the night eye cream to be richer so I look more pumped in the morning.

I have been doing some research on eye cream before buying it. My aim for an eye cream is to prevent fine lines so I would love some cream instead of gel. I was torn between Origin Start Over and this Clairns firm cream, they are both around AUD 70 mark and they both have quite good reviews. After a self debate, I decided to go with the Clarins. This was purchased from Myer Clarins counter, AUD 69. I was recommended by the assistant a gel texture eye cream first, but I insisted to get a cream richer texture one to use at night. On the packaging, this was recommended for women in their 40s, yes, it sounds kinda not for my age group, but there is never to early to prevent fine line before they appear. And it's always easier to prevent than remove fine lines. The samples were eye serum, day cream and night cream. It's always a good idea to buy skin care from the counter so you can get some samples to try out and decide what to get next time. I used the eye cream first time tonight, it actually is not as rich as I would prefer but I will wait and see how my skin feels tomorrow morning. And a review will follow couple weeks later once I have a better idea with this eye cream.

Movie Review: The Fault in our Stars

We have finally decided to watch this movie since it became the "Movie of the Week". I always wanted to see it but consider it's a love story so was worried my husband might find it cheesy and boring. I was warned by friends who watched it that there would be some crying and it was true. I literally had to hold my breath few times to hold my tears in and still for few moments, I couldn't help but feel the urge of tearing down for Hazel and Gus. This is truly an amazing, sad yet beautiful story. It's not only about the love the pair shared, it's the life they chose to live and how they see their lives are truly touching me.

We don't realise how lucky we are to have this life we are living, when something like breathing looks so simple to us becomes a luxury to some people, when any day could be the last day to some people, when the greatest fear for some people is how their loved ones will live after they die, I don't see why we are not living the life we want to live.

I watched a Youtube Video from Kandee yesterday and loved what her dad said to her : make today better than yesterday.. no matter how great your yesterday was, you are going to make it better today...

What I bought from Zara Sale

I walked pass Zara Store and was surprised they are having a sale in store. 80% of the items are on sale. I wouldn't call it a big discount, majority of the items are $10-$20 down from the original price but considering they never had a sales since the day they opened this store, I made sure I didn't pass the opportunity. The store was packed with customers holding multiple items, so I can imagine how long it would take me to try things on, so I skipped fitting room.

The items are kind of all over the place so it's bit difficult to find the things I was eyeing, however I did pick up these items today, some of them are special Zara so I never see them in store before. The only thing about the sale is most of the items have ran out of sizes.

The loose fitting cardigan AUD 39.95, I haven't seen it in shop before but I liked the flowy look and the smooth material so decided to pick it up. I think it will look good with some white T or white shirt to tuck in black pants for office attire or graphic T for casual wear.

The zip up cardigan AUD 39.95, this is new to me as well. Sadly the only size left was L, and I did quickly put it on in the store, since the cardigan is loose fitted so a larger size didn't really look baggy, this one can be worn in office or casual depending what I'd like to pair it with.

Lion T shirt AUD 19.95, this one was AUD 29.95, so down $10. I like all the animals on T shirt, so picking up this one is just a instinct. The only size there was M, so that's what I got. I guess I can eight knot the front of tuck the front in the jeans or ripped black denim, or just wear with boyfriend jeans to create a layback weekend look.

Blue pants AUD 39.95, these are in a size S, I would prefer these to be XS as I like the skinny pants instead of standard fitting, but sadly, no size. The pants have 2 different materials on the front and back, the front is a kind of leather feeling and back is just standard stretchy material. I think I can work out a way to wear this is the office or on weekend. These are not jeans as they don't have back pocket so if I pair them with white shirt, they can be looked formal enough. If I throw some loose graphic T, they can also look casual.

As I mentioned, I didn't really have time to try them on, I will certainly give them a go on the weekend and hope they are all reaching my expectation.

What I bought from ASOS

I placed an order from ASOS last week and it just arrived today. Even the order is quite small but I will still share what I have got and what my first impression for the things I ordered. I will also put link for the items at the bottom. If you are interested in seeing the things on me, please follow my Instagram - donnabunnyqueen, I post pictures of my outfit daily and more pictures about my life and my bunnies.

Black and White T shirt, (Black AUD 13.73, White AUD 19.61). These 2 Ts belong to the ASOS petite line so I got them in AU Size 4 and 6. There is really not much to explain about these simple pure coloured T shirts, I was just looking for some white and black Ts to layer with some other clothes, and they cost AUD 29.95 or more in Zara store, so I wasn't sure if I want to spend too much some simple T shirts so decided to give ASOS a go. To be honest, the T shirts are different with what I wanted, I was looking for some loose casual fitting T shirts to tuck in skinny jeans, but these ones are just standard fitting, and I would really like them if they are thinner on the material.

Denim shirt AUD 29.41. I have one light washed denim shirt from Zara which goes great with some lighter jeans. I also wanted a darker colour shirt to match some white T and black Jeans, so decided to try this one. The first thing I noticed of this shirt when I opened the bag is the smell, the shirt smells like it's been in the storage for ages. It kind of putting me off, and I really need to wash it before I can wear it. The colour is actually quite true to the picture and I do believe I can put up the outfit I wanted. The material is kind of hard, my Zara shirt is a lot softer. But consider about the price different, (Zara is like AUD 59.95), I wouldn't complain about it.

Surprisingly I cannot find the exact items I got any more. I didn't expect they were going to be sold out.

Here is the links for the shirts which are very similar to the ones I got but it's a little bit more expensive.
