First Impression : Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation/Double Wear Maximum Cover Foundation

I have been thinking of purchasing Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation for couple months after heard so many good reviews about it. Eventually I have made up my mind and got one today. I purchased mine at Estee Lauder counter at my local David Jones and had a chance to try a few different shades as well as the maximum wear cover double wear foundation.

I have usual yellow undertone skin with some minor pimple scars and discolouration. I would say my skin is combination, which is very normal on my cheeks and slightly oily on the Tzone after few hours of wearing makeups.

The foundation I decided to get today is the Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover foundation with SPF15. This foundation is the one in the blue tube and RRP is AUD$50.

Here is the link for you to obtain more details about the product.

Double Wear Maximum Cover

The colour I picked up is Cream Vanilla/Medium. Before purchasing this, I tried out few shades from the normal Double Wear line which is the one in glass jar. I found the normal double wear has a slight drewy finish which I don't usually prefer. I tried on the back of my hand (my hand has the most perfect skin on my whole body) and it appears the shine straightaway after apply and I somehow find it emphasize the lines on my skin which I would not like at all if this is on my face. Then I requested to test the Maximum wear, the texture is completely different, a little goes a long way, it's super rich and covers the brown spot on my hand. It's thick but appears to be easy to blend with brush. It has the matte finish and I would say if it performs this good on my face I don't think I will be using any powder afterwards.

I have yet to test it on my face so I will have to revert back on how it lasts throughout the day. Please stay tuned.
